Prospective parents are welcome to visit our program without an appointment any weekday by dropping into our office between 9:15 to 11:15. We are happy to share our program information, show you our classrooms, and answer all your questions. You are also invited to bring your child with you during this initial visit as long as he or she is in good health.
Our part-time toddler program provides care, socialization, and education led by three teachers for twelve children ages 18 to 30 months, or developmentally ready to enter the nursery school, each weekday. Our enrichment class is offered between 9:00 a.m. and noon with enrollment choices including Mon- Fri, Tues-Thurs, or Mon-Wed-Fri. There are also options for early arrival, lunch, and nap time before and after class as needed, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., at an hourly charge. We follow the traditional calendar and holiday breaks of San Diego City Schools.
We approach children as unique individuals who are curious about everything. Teachers, really, are trained providers. We listen to understand what children are asking and what they want to know. We respond by surrounding them with books, tools, and materials to discover their own answers. What adults call play is really a child's work. Every day they are eager to get to work and see what they can discover. If we can keep children asking questions, we know we are reaching them.
